Welcome Becky Mason
& Erin Golackson
Parks & Recreation Supervisors
The CSD is very excited to introduce our new parks & recreation supervisors, Becky Mason & Erin Golackson to our community. These two women began working in May, and have already made positive changes to the community center.
Becky Mason, as some residents may remember, lived in Stallion Springs and worked for our parks and recreation dept. when the gymnasium first opened in 2007. We had to say goodbye to her when she and her family moved to Alaska in December 2007, but they moved back to Tehachapi in 2011.
Becky retired from the Air Force after ten years of service in the medical field. She has been married to Darrin for 19 years, and they have four beautiful daughters ranging in ages from 12 to 17. Her family keeps her busy with their social activities and sports, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, triathlons, and cycling. She volunteers her time at school and church, while managing to start the Mountain Bike Club for Tehachapi high-school-age kids last year, along with her husband.
Becky is very excited to teach the kids a variety of sports, and is passionate about getting kids more active in all aspects of recreation. She brings a fresh attitude and a myriad of experiences to the department, and we look forward to her working here again.
Erin grew up in Tehachapi, and graduated from U.C. Davis in March, majoring in Anthropology, with a minor in Education/Writing.
Erin has a love of the outdoors, and enjoys hiking plus many sports, including cross-country running, softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. She has experience working with kids, and spent two summers working in Kyrgyzstan at a summer camp. She also plays guitar and sings. She brings a lot of experience in sports and recreational activities, along with a positive attitude towards introducing new programs to Stallion Springs.
These two women are excited to see more kids getting involved and utilizing the facilities here in Stallion Springs. We believe they will be a great asset to our community center, and a positive influence on your kids. Please welcome these two new employees by bringing your kids to the gym to see the changes they are making.
